Sometimes It’s Better to be the Underdog

I’ve been someone people expected to do well and I’ve been someone people didn’t think would amount to much.  It’s nice to have people around you who build you up but it really helps to have someone try to make you feel less than or inferior to them.

When this happens I have two choices – believe them and think less of myself or just try to prove them wrong.  I don’t have anytime to waste trying to hurt anyone else.  I need all the time I have and more to accomplish my goals.

Success is truly the best revenge.  I feel that way about my success and the success of other people I know who were essentially told “You know, you’re not that great.”

To all the underdogs firmly on their path to greatness you don’t even have to reply.
