Facing Forward

It’s Not Stamped On Your Forehead

I just want to take a moment to acknowledge all of the people who suffer in silence with mental illness.  I am blessed to be healthy and to have had the help of amazing doctors, loving family, and understanding friends.  I often tell people I’m sick (if they don’t already know) (most do).  And I’m able to live the life I always hoped to live.

But I know that my situation is not typical in the slightest and I can only hope that everyone with a mental illness has the chance to live life the way I’m able to.  I honestly believe if it can happen for me it can happen for anyone.  Whether you want to share your story or not do not inhibit yourself.  We are our own worst critiques.  And remember when it seems like nothing is going to work –

You are not the first to go through what you’re going through and recovery is always an option.
