Seeing Can Spark Awe

oct-31-16– The Starry Night by Vincent van Gogh (taken at MOMA)

Van Gogh was not one of my favorite painters in school.  I understood that his work required a high level of skill but I did not truly appreciate it until I saw it up close.  A glossy text book does not really do it justice.  You have to see the texture and the vibrancy of the colors.

Until I went to MOMA I did not realize that I was so close to such treasures.
