The Difference Two Decades Make

Sept 19 16

The truth is I’ve never really known my dad.  Growing up he was not really around (always working) and my mother was always mad at him.  I wasn’t really around anyone who liked him as my brother and sister were long gone by the time I could really process anything.

So living with my dad these past few years have been an interesting experience.  We’ve argued, we’ve laughed, and we’ve learned a lot about one another.  I can see and feel how much he influenced me even though he wasn’t around all the time.

I’ll never undervalue the importance of a father in a child’s life again –

Moms are like the Sun but Dads are like the Earth.
