Mental Health Tip # 13: Don’t Skip Doctor’s Appointments

don't skip dr apptDuring the worst of times I had to go to the doctor multiple times a week.  Now I’m down to every couple of months.  Either way I don’t skip appointments.

Even if I feel perfectly fine I always feel a little better after seeing the right doctor. (The right doctor is the one I tell the absolute truth to.)

The right doctor offers me a kind of insight I cannot get from a friend or family member.

The right doctor doesn’t see me as just another bipolar patient but as Natasha.

Of course, never skip an appointment with the right doctor, but don’t skip appointments with the right now doctor either.  Each appointment – good or bad – is one step closer to recovery.
