Mental Health Tip #3: Laugh

laughOne of the best things about losing my mind was that once it was back together again so many things were hilarious.  I’d like to think I was fun when I was younger (something this photo suggests).  But these instances were few and far between.  I was a serious kid.  And I rarely laughed.

Now I laugh or try to make someone else laugh everyday.  Some days I avoid the news to find something funny to watch.  I make fun of myself and I find it funny when people make fun of me (especially when I begin to take myself very seriously again).

I always feel better after I laugh and I adore people who make me laugh – friend, family, or perfect stranger.
